How It Works
Every trade follows a 12-step pipeline — from market scanning to post-trade analysis. No black box. No hidden logic. No fear, greed, or hesitation. You can see exactly what the EA does and why.
The 12-Step Trade Pipeline
Market Scanning
24/7 Multi-Timeframe MonitoringThe EA continuously scans XAUUSD across 4H, 1H, and M5 timeframes, building a complete picture of market structure, trend direction, and liquidity levels.
- Reads 4H chart for macro trend direction (bullish/bearish/range)
- Reads 1H chart for intermediate market structure
- Reads M5 chart for entry-level signals and execution
- Updates every tick — no delay, no missed opportunities
- Tracks Previous Day High (PDH) and Previous Day Low (PDL) as key liquidity targets
Liquidity Mapping
Identifying Where Stops Are RestingThe Liquidity Engine module maps all significant liquidity pools — areas where stop losses are clustered. These are the targets that "smart money" hunts.
- Detects equal highs/lows (stop clusters above/below key levels)
- Tracks Previous Day High/Low as primary liquidity targets
- Identifies Asian session range highs/lows
- Marks London/NY session opening ranges
- Calculates liquidity density — how many stops are clustered at each level
Sweep Detection
Catching the Stop HuntWhen price moves to a liquidity pool and sweeps it (wicks beyond the level then reverses), the Sweep Detector fires. This is the highest-weighted signal — 20 points in the scoring system.
- Detects when price wicks beyond a liquidity level then closes back inside
- Confirms sweep direction (bullish sweep of lows = potential buy, bearish sweep of highs = potential sell)
- Records the sweep level for entry calculation
- Logs sweep confirmation in real-time
- Only counts sweeps at significant levels — not random wicks
Structure Shift (CHoCH)
First Sign of ReversalAfter a sweep, the EA watches for a Change of Character (CHoCH) — when price breaks the most recent swing high/low in the opposite direction of the prior trend. This confirms the sweep was a stop hunt, not a continuation.
- Monitors swing highs and lows on M5 timeframe
- Triggers when price breaks a swing structure in the new direction
- Worth 10 points in the scoring system
- Often the earliest entry signal in a reversal
- Logged with the exact price level that was broken
Break of Structure (BOS)
Continuation ConfirmationA Break of Structure confirms the new direction is not just a fakeout. Price breaks the next swing point in the trend direction, signaling institutional commitment to the move.
- Confirms trend continuation after CHoCH
- Worth 10 points in the scoring system
- Combined with CHoCH = 20 points (strong confirmation)
- Validates that smart money is driving the move
- Filters out false breakouts and noise
Displacement Detection
Institutional FootprintDisplacement is a strong, fast price move that leaves gaps (FVGs) in its wake. This is the footprint of institutional order flow — banks and funds moving size. Without displacement, there is no real move.
- Measures candle momentum and body size
- Detects 3-candle displacement patterns
- Creates Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) as byproduct
- Worth 10 points in the scoring system
- Weak displacement = lower confidence; strong displacement = institutional activity
Entry Zone Identification
Order Blocks & FVGsThe EA identifies the optimal entry zone: the last opposing candle before displacement (Order Block) or the Fair Value Gap left by the displacement move. Price typically returns to these zones before continuing.
- Order Block: last opposing candle before displacement (3 points)
- FVG: gap left by fast displacement move (2 points)
- iFVG: inverse FVG for advanced entries (2 points)
- Entry calculated at the discount zone of the order block
- SL placed beyond the order block / sweep level
Scoring & Validation
100-Point Quality CheckEvery component is weighted and summed. The EA only trades if the total score meets your minimum threshold (default: 60). This is the quality filter that separates A+ setups from mediocre ones.
- Sweep: 20 points (highest weight)
- 4H Trend alignment: 15 points
- 1H Structure + CHoCH + BOS + Displacement: 40 points
- Session, R:R, Kill Zone, Daily Bias: 20 points
- OB + FVG: 5 points
- Total possible: 100 points — only 60+ trades
Risk Calculation
Position Sizing & ProtectionBefore executing, the EA calculates the exact position size based on your risk percentage, stop-loss distance, and account balance. Every trade has a defined SL and TP from the moment it opens.
- Risk: 0.5% of account balance (adjustable)
- SL: beyond order block or sweep level (structural)
- TP1: 1R (50% position closes here)
- TP2: 2R (remaining 50% closes here)
- Lot size calculated automatically — no manual calculation needed
Trade Execution
Order PlacementThe EA places the trade with SL and TP attached. No manual intervention required. The trade is managed automatically from open to close.
- Market or limit order based on entry mode
- SL attached at order placement (no naked trades)
- TP1 and TP2 set at calculated levels
- Spread filter prevents entries during high-spread conditions
- Trade logged with full context (score, entry, SL, TP, R:R)
Trade Management
Partial TP & TrailingThe EA manages the open trade: closes 50% at TP1 to secure profit, then lets the remaining 50% run to TP2. This locks in gains while maximizing upside.
- 50% closes at TP1 (1R) — secures profit, reduces risk
- 50% runs to TP2 (2R) — maximizes upside
- Effective R:R with partial TP: 1.5:1
- SL remains in place throughout — no naked exposure
- Trade resolution logged with MFE/MAE (max favorably/adverse excursion)
Post-Trade Analysis
Learning & LoggingAfter the trade closes, the EA logs the full outcome: entry, exit, MFE, MAE, win/loss, and the complete setup context. This creates an audit trail for performance analysis.
- Logs entry price, exit price, duration, P&L
- Records MFE (maximum profit) and MAE (maximum drawdown)
- Tracks win rate, profit factor, average win/loss
- Prediction tracker compares live vs blocked setups
- All data available in MT5 Experts log for review
Discipline by default
A human trader might see the same setup and hesitate. "Is the displacement strong enough?" "Should I wait for a better entry?" "I just took a loss — maybe I should sit this one out." The EA doesn't ask those questions. The score is 100, the threshold is 60, and the trade fires — instantly, without second-guessing.
These rules are coded, not suggested. The EA cannot override them on a bad day. That's the point.
